Letter from the President
Thomas Valente Dead.

1950-2009

In another twist to this War the Secretary of Homeland Security was pulled out of the rubble of the Federal building yesterday, and was pronounced dead on the scene. Valente was a major player in the rebuilding of America after the September attacks, and was brought on by President Tomarchio to continue the duties of the Secretary of Homeland Security. Valente was supposed to be at the Presidents Address to the Nation on September of 2006, but was asked by the president to meet with Foriegn leaders in Europe. When Valente heard what had happened he quickly returned Stateside, and helped to pull some form of government together. He worked with Jennings and Rall in trying to rebuild infastructure, and Hired Ravenwood to help out with patroling FEMA camps while he and others contacted military bases to mobilize troops. He was also the one who got most of the factions that split back into one government, except for Texas and the Eastern United States. Thomas Valente, Dead at the age of 59.

Quasiballistic Missiles Fired at Texas

In an attempt to show its fire power the Allied States fired five Quasiballistic missiles at Texas targets. The goal was to show there is firepower inside the Allied States of America. Until recently most of the Texas attacks have gone without response, with the Allied States working more on diplomacy than warfare. The five missiles did hit their target, and no lives were taken in the process. Meanwhile, there was an emergency Security Council meeting at the UN today, working on a resolution that would condemn the United States and Texas for their aggression on the Allied States. Great Britain and Germany have been unwilling to lay blame on the US, or Texas, but are beeing urged by Russia, France, and Spain to do so. China has also been unwilling to send troops over, but has called for the United States and Texas to pull out of the Allied States. Great Britain and Germany both have veto powers if any resolution is passed.

John Williams Dead.

Leader of the Terrorist group Underground Coalition was killed today while in combat. This is big for the Allied States, because that gives us the advantage to hopefully disband the terrorist group. The terrorist group, which has been funded by Texas and the United States had attacked Kansas, and moved its way attacking California, and Colorado. Tomarchio who received word early this morning was pleased with the progress of the soldiers on the ground. Tomarchio has also stated that he hopes those involved with the Terror group will understand terrorism will not be tolerated, and when asked if there were any that would be willing to give up, "We would gladly work something out, If people are willing to turn themselves in we will provide full amnesty to those who go through a rehabilitation program. I feel as if they were misguided by a man who was also misguided, and in these times it is hard to really know the truth."

Update on Explosion in Cheyenne

It now appears that the explosion was an attack on the Federal building, and we now know that there are 50 people trapped inside. Among those is Thomas Valente, the Secretary of Homeland Security. He was in a briefing with intelligence officials when the attack took place. We are unaware if there are any dead.

There Has been an explosion at a Federal building. It appears to have been a gas leak, but will still be investigated. There are people inside the building, but we are unsure as of who. Emergency personnel are at the scene.

Tomarchio To Return Stateside on Wednesday

President Tomarchio has been busy talking with foreign officials in trying to get aid. Along the way he talked with European citizens, where he holds a 82% approval rating, much higher than it is here, where it is 62%. Still Tomarchio feels as if his business is unfinished. "I will be heading back to Europe in two weeks, to rally the european countries behind us, but right now I am needed at home."

The UN to Provide 5,000 Troops, and $1.8 Billion in Aid

The UN has agreed to send troops over to help with the insurgency in western Kansas. They have also approved 1.8 billion dollars in aid to help with rebuilding and to help pay for the training of new military personnel.

A Major Terrorist Dead

The AIA is reporting to us that one of the masterminds of the attacks in Western Kansas is indeed dead. The man is known as Penn. He is the third in command of the Underground Coalition, and was key in almost all of their operations. ASA forces are still on the lookout for others in the Kansas area.

Terror Attack Update:

It is rumored that they have the terrorists cornered near the Colorado Border, but because the area is without power, and has no towers contact with the soldiers have been lost. Tomarchio has continued to make bold statements when it comes to these terrorists, calling for their heads, and offering $1,000,000 that leads to the arrest of John Williams the Leader of the new movement.

Recruitment Numbers at Record High

In the day that will live on in history books, Recruitment to the armed forced has increased dramatically. Lines wrapped around buildings for most of the day in many recruiting offices around the country forcing many recruiters to miss lunch. There has been an outcry of support for the government, and many believe the Underground Coalition should be attacked no matter where they are. One man at a recruiting center gave us his thoughts. "This is America. For too long we waited in silence for our government to give us help, and as they get started a small few decide to become anarchists. It is one thing to voice your displeasure, but to attack a few soldiers who were on a peace mission in the middle of the night? Come on, be a real man. I cant wait to defend my country." many shared his sentiment, and cannot wait to defend their country from terrorists.

ATTACK!

(AP) April 2, 2009 1:18AM
It is currently being reported that five checkpoints outside of Jericho, Kansas have been ambushed. There is no word of who the attackers are, or where they came from. This is the first major attack on ASA soldiers, and it comes as the soldiers had set up checkpoints for heightened security after the New Bern War. The checkpoints were set up because of the tensions in the area, and were meant to keep peace in the area.

It is being reported that the terrorist group Underground Coalition as being a co-conspirator in this attack. It appears that there are casualties, with the latest being 50 dead and another 75 wounded in the attacks. President Tomarchio made a statement on hearing of the attacks. "We must not ignore this threat that is against us These cowards attacked a group of fine men in our armed forces, and we will not stand for it. These men were on a peace keeping mission and the attack brought havoc among the area. I will make this clear to the group held responsible. We will find you. We will not falter, and we will not fail. We are a strong nation, and you will soon realize you have awaken a monster when we bring havoc to your door."

Delegates Pass New Bill of Rights.

Delegates passed the Bill of Rights with a vote of 38-3. For the most part the bill of rights remain the same, but there are minor changes. These changes will not affect day to day life.

Days Away From Completed Constitution

After much debate it appears that the delegates are ready to vote on the much anticipated constitution. The constitution needs 28 of the 41 votes to pass. however it appears it will pass with a much higher majority.

President for Life?
News is coming out of Cheyenne that the 41 delegates are pondering getting rid of term limits. Jared Farwell one of the Colorado delegates said, "We need a strong leader to lead us in the future. President Tomarchio Has showed that he could lead us, and it would be a shame for him to leave office with unfinished business. That is why many of us believe term limits need to be taken out. It took FDR more than eight years to get us out of a economic crisis. It will definitely take more to rebuild a nation." If this does indeed pass it will mark a turn for America. President Tomarchio after hearing of the possibility of repealing the ammendment was hesitent but did make a comment concerning the possibility; "I would not force the American public to have me as their president for more than eight years, but am honored at the same time. If the American people want me as their president for life I am willing to lead."

Constitution Near Completion

The draft of the constitution is near completion and the 41 Delegates are to vote on it next week. After receiving word President Tomarchio stated, "This is a huge accomplishment, and should be celebrated. The American people have stood still while we put ourselves back together. I will make it my goal while President to make sure we never face an event like the September attacks again."

Robert Hawkins and Mystery Man Dead.

As many of you are aware The ASA Government has been tracking the terrorist Robert Hawkins. He was seen with a mystery man getting on a plane and heading south toward the Independent Republic of Texas. Unaware of their intentions the ASA military scrambled two F-15 Eagles two intercept the plane. After giving warning to descend and be escorted to a local base. The pilot of the Cessna jet refused, and after multiple warnings was shot down. The government is saying that Robert Hawkins was one of the insiders that helped N. Korea and Iran get the bombs into the United States, and was plotting another attack on Cheyenne. President Tomarchio released a statement after hearing the news. "America is safer today with the death of Robert Hawkins. The Families of those lost in the September attacks can rest a little easier knowing this man can cause no more harm."
